Colombia's consumer confidence index experienced a decline of 1.5 points from the prior month, reaching -8.6 in April 2025. This marks the 34th straight month of consumer pessimism, maintaining a significant gap from the -1.1 high observed in June 2022 within the same year. The heightened sense of pessimism was chiefly attributed to a 2.6-point drop in the future expectations component, declining to -6.6. Meanwhile, a modest 0.3-point increase in the current economic conditions indicator, which rose to -11.6, offered little relief against the overall gloomy sentiment.
