In May 2025, Turkey's consumer confidence index experienced an increase, rising to 84.8 from April's figure of 83.9. This uptick is largely due to a reduction in pessimism about household expectations over the forthcoming year, as the index climbed to 85.3 from 84.3 in April. However, perceptions of current financial conditions remained steady at 69.1. Notably, confidence in purchasing durable goods within the next year turned optimistic, rising to 102.5 from 99.3. On the other hand, views on the general economic outlook for the year continued to decline slightly, dropping to 82.2 from 82.8.
