In April 2025, Luxembourg saw a slight uptick in its unemployment rate, reaching 6% — the highest level since May 2021 — after staying at 5.9% for the previous six months. This rise was largely due to an increase of 92 unemployed individuals, bringing the total to 18,858. Despite this, domestic employment grew by 519, totaling 520,835. Additionally, the number of Luxembourg citizens participating in the labor force increased by 372, reaching 315,969.
