In April 2025, Croatia experienced a significant increase in industrial production, recording a 6.5% rise compared to the previous year. This surge marks an improvement from the previous month's revised four-month low of 3.2%. It reflects the strongest growth in industrial activity since January, primarily propelled by enhanced manufacturing output, which rose by 7.3% compared to a 3.7% increase in March. Key contributors to this growth include the chemical and chemical products sector, the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers, as well as other transport equipment. Additionally, there was a notable acceleration in the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply sector, which grew by 9.5% following a 3.4% rise in March. Furthermore, the decline in mining and quarrying output lessened, dropping by 3.3% compared to a decrease of 5.7% the previous month. On a monthly basis, when adjusted for seasonal variations, industrial production recovered with a 2.5% increase, bouncing back from a 1.5% decline in the preceding month.
