According to preliminary estimates, the seasonally adjusted total dwelling approvals in Australia saw an unexpected decline of 5.7% from the previous month in April 2025, reaching an eight-month low of 14,633 units. This downturn is more significant than the revised 7.1% decrease recorded in the prior month. It marks the third consecutive month of declines and falls short of market expectations, which had anticipated a growth of 3.1%.
