In April 2025, Mexico's unemployment rate decreased to 2.5% from 2.6% compared to the previous year, aligning with market predictions. The count of unemployed individuals rose by 42,835, reaching a total of 1.560 million. Concurrently, the employed population also grew by 88,283, bringing the total to 59.895 million. The overall economically active population saw an increase of 45,448, totaling 61.456 million, while the non-economically active segment expanded by 1.925 million to 42.059 million. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the unemployment rate remained steady at 2.6% in April, consistent with the previous month.
