Week Ahead - June 2nd

The financial markets are poised for another turbulent week as recent threats of tariffs resurface, spurred by President Trump's allegations that China breached an initial trade agreement with the United States. Investors' attention will also be directed towards the U.S. labor market report, in addition to ISM Manufacturing and Services PMIs, speeches by Federal Reserve officials, JOLTS job openings, factory orders, and international trade data. Rate decisions are anticipated from the European Central Bank, Bank of Canada, and Reserve Bank of India. Essential inflation updates will be released from the Euro Area, South Korea, Switzerland, and Turkey. In parallel, GDP growth figures from Switzerland, South Africa, and Australia are expected to draw significant scrutiny. April’s foreign trade statistics from Australia, Canada, Brazil, Germany, and France will be under review, alongside a series of global PMI data releases. This includes manufacturing indexes from South Korea, Russia, Italy, Spain, Canada, and China, as well as service indexes from Spain, Italy, Brazil, and China.
