In May 2025, Switzerland recorded a non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate of 2.8%, remaining steady from the previous month and marking the lowest level in four months. The total number of unemployed individuals fell by 2,200, reaching 127,900. Regarding youth unemployment, which accounts for job-seekers aged 15 to 24, the rate slightly decreased to 2.4% from April's 2.5%, with a reduction in young unemployed by 500, totaling 10,600. Nevertheless, there was a decline in reported job vacancies, which decreased by 2,700 to 38,100 positions during this period. Seasonally adjusted, the unemployment rate rose modestly to 2.9% in May, compared to 2.8% in the previous month.
