Conversely, inflation for clothing and footwear remained steady at 9.4%, as did the education sector at 5.7%. However, communication expenses increased slightly to 1.0% from 0.9%, and the category for other goods and services saw a climb to 5.7% from 5.4%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices rose by 0.3% in May, following a 0.6% rise in April.
