Colombia Producer Inflation Eases to 7-Month Low

In May 2025, producer price inflation in Colombia slowed to 3.67% year-on-year, a decrease from 4.09% in April, reaching its lowest level since October of last year. The decline was marked by continued deflation in the mining and quarrying sector, which saw a reduction of 9.93%, an improvement from the 11.56% decrease in April. Inflation rates in agriculture, livestock, forestry, hunting, and fishing also eased to 7.97%, down from 11.50%. Conversely, the manufacturing sector experienced a more rapid increase in prices, rising to 5.48% from the previous 4.90%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices decreased by 1.15%, reversing the upward trend of a 0.14% increase observed in the previous month.
