Lithuania Producer Prices Drop at Slower Pace

Producer prices in Lithuania saw a 3.0% decline in May 2025 compared to the same month the previous year, an improvement from the newly revised 3.7% decrease recorded in April. This marks the fifth consecutive month of declining producer prices, driven primarily by ongoing deflation in the manufacturing sector, which experienced a decrease of 3.5% compared to the 4.3% drop in April. Conversely, there were increases observed in costs related to mining and quarrying, which rose by 0.4% following a 0.3% rise previously, as well as in the sectors of electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply, which increased by 0.4% from a stable 0% in April. Additionally, the water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities sector saw a significant increase in costs by 2.9%, following a stagnant growth rate of 0% in the previous month. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices fell by 0.7%, following an amended 2.1% drop in the prior period.
