US Futures Point to Lower Open

On Thursday, US stock futures declined as President Trump signaled potential unilateral tariffs within the next two weeks, unsettling investor confidence. Futures for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 decreased by 0.3%, with Dow futures dropping by 185 points. Trump suggested that a trade deadline set for July 8 may not require an extension, alluding to a "great deal" with China, although details remain unclear. A framework deal was established in London following two days of US-China negotiations, pending final approval. Recent Producer Price Index (PPI) data showcased weaker-than-anticipated inflation, with a mere 0.1% rise in May's PPI. In early market trading, Boeing shares plummeted by over 7% following an Air India 787 incident, whereas Oracle saw a 7% increase, bolstered by strong earnings and growth in its cloud services.
