The Industrial Entrepreneur Confidence Index (ICEI) in Brazil saw a slight decrease to 48.6 in June 2025, down from 48.9 in May, continuing the pessimistic trend observed during the first half of the year. This decline was primarily influenced by worsening expectations concerning the Brazilian economy. The Expectations Index decreased to 50.9 from 51.3 in June, indicating heightened uncertainty. This shift was largely attributed to increasing pessimism about the national economy, with the Brazilian Economy Expectations Index dropping by 0.8 points to 41.7. On the other hand, the Business Expectations Index saw a marginal decrease of 0.3 points, settling at 55.5, yet still maintaining an optimistic outlook. The Current Conditions Index was recorded at 44.1 in June, relatively stable compared to May's 44. Similarly, sub-indices measuring the current conditions of the economy (37.4 vs. 37.3) and businesses (47.5 vs. 47.3) largely remained steady, albeit reflecting a pessimistic sentiment.
