In April 2025, the issuance of building permits in Serbia experienced a significant decline, dropping by 14.9% compared to the same month the previous year, totaling 2,316 permits. Despite this notable decrease, it still represents the second-largest figure for April in the historical record. Of the total permits granted, 84.5% pertained to buildings, with residential structures accounting for 82.3% and non-residential ones making up 17.7%. Furthermore, 15.5% of the permits were allocated for civil engineering projects, with a substantial 70% of those focused on electric power line infrastructure.
