In May 2025, Bosnia and Herzegovina experienced a 0.8% decline in industrial production compared to the same month the previous year. This decline follows a 0.1% decrease in April and represents the sixth consecutive month of reduced production. The decrease was driven by lower outputs in several sectors: energy production fell by 10.7% after a 7% decline in April, intermediate goods production dropped by 1.9% compared to a 1.8% decline previously, and consumer durables saw a significant decrease of 28.4% following a 22.4% drop in April. However, there was a notable increase in the production of capital goods, which surged by 21.6% compared to 8% in April, and consumer non-durables also saw a rebound, growing by 2.4% after a 1.7% decrease. On a monthly basis, when adjusted for seasonal variations, industrial output fell by 3.2% in May, reversing the 1.4% growth observed in April.
