In May 2025, Colombia's unemployment rate decreased to 9.0%, marking an improvement from the previous year's 10.3% for the same period. The number of employed individuals saw an increase of 597,000, reaching a total of 23.627 million when compared to the prior year. Furthermore, the employment rate climbed to 58.2% from 57.5%, while the labor force participation rate experienced a slight decline to 64% from 64.1% the year before.
