In June 2025, Armenia experienced a slight decrease in its annual inflation rate, which dipped to 3.9% from the previous month's 4.3%. This period saw a slowdown in the price increases for essential categories such as food and non-alcoholic beverages, which decreased from 7.4% in May to 6.2%, housing and utilities, which fell to 1.2% from 1.4%, and restaurants and hotels, slightly reducing to 2.3% from 2.4%. Additionally, the decline in prices for clothing and footwear became more pronounced, dropping by 2.0% compared to May's 1.5% decrease. Conversely, there was a noticeable acceleration in the price increases for alcoholic beverages and tobacco, rising to 6.2% from 5.8%, transportation, which saw a jump from 4.2% to 6.0%, and the recreation and culture sectors, which experienced an increase to 1.2% from 0.6%. The education sector, however, maintained a steady inflation rate at 7.8%. When observed on a monthly scale, consumer prices decreased by 1.3% in June, contrasting with a 0.3% increase noted in the preceding month.
