China Forex Reserves Hit Near-Decade High

In June 2025, China's foreign exchange reserves experienced an increase of USD 32 billion, reaching a total of USD 3.317 trillion, compared to USD 3.285 trillion in May. This marks the highest point since December 2015. As for the gold reserves, they edged up to 73.90 million fine troy ounces by the end of June from 73.83 million ounces at the close of May. Concurrently, the value of these gold reserves saw a modest rise to USD 242.93 billion, up from USD 241.99 billion in the previous month.
