Croatia Producer Prices Hit Near 2-Year High

Producer prices in Croatia experienced a 1.4% increase year-on-year in June 2025, up from a 1.2% increase in May. This represents the highest rate since August 2023, primarily driven by a rise in the costs of capital goods, which climbed to 2.8% from 2.5% in the previous month. Additionally, energy prices showed a recovery, increasing by 0.9% following a decline of 0.4%. Conversely, inflation rates for non-durable consumer goods decreased to 1.4% from 2%, for intermediate goods to 1.5% from 1.6%, and durable consumer goods continued to register deflation at -0.1%. When energy is excluded, the producer price index slightly decreased to 1.7% compared to 1.8% in May. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices rose by 0.7% in June, rebounding from a 1% decrease in the previous month.
