North Macedonia Producer Inflation Hits 6-Month Low

In May 2025, North Macedonia observed a decrease in its annual producer inflation rate to 5.8%, down from April's 6.1%. This represents the most subdued rate since November 2024. The decline was driven by reduced price inflation for intermediate goods, excluding energy, which dropped to 0.5% from April's 2.1%, and capital goods, which decreased to 13.4% from 13.8%. Conversely, the costs for energy surged to 17.4% from 16.9%, and consumer goods saw a rise to 4.9% compared to the previous 3.9%, with durable goods increasing by 0.4% and non-durable goods by 5.2%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices showed a 0.4% increase in May 2025, recovering from a 0.2% decline in April.
