Namibia Inflation Rate Inches Up to 3.7%

In June 2025, Namibia experienced a slight increase in its annual inflation rate, which rose to 3.7% from May's 3.5%, interrupting a two-month deceleration. The acceleration in price growth was primarily driven by sectors such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco, which saw an increase to 6.9% from 5.8% in May. Similarly, food and non-alcoholic beverages rose to 6.4% from 5.8%, while the housing and utilities sector increased to 4.1% from 3.6%. However, on a month-to-month basis, consumer prices remained steady in June, following a 0.2% rise in each of the preceding two months.
