U.S. utilities added 53 billion cubic feet (bcf) of natural gas to storage for the week ending July 4. This increased total inventories to 3.006 trillion cubic feet (tcf). This figure aligns with the five-year average build for this period (2020–2024) and is slightly below the 61 bcf injection recorded during the same week last year. Consequently, gas stockpiles are now 6.1% higher than the five-year seasonal average.
