China Exports Rise More than Expected

In June 2025, China's exports rose by 5.8% year-on-year, reaching a four-month peak of USD 325.2 billion. This growth slightly surpassed market predictions, which anticipated a 5.0% increase, and marked an acceleration from the 4.8% growth observed in May. This improvement in export figures occurred despite the persistent uncertainties related to US tariff policies. In the first half of 2025, exports expanded by 5.9% compared to the same period in 2024, totaling USD 1.81 trillion.
