In June 2025, Oman's annual inflation rate decreased to 0.5%, down from 0.6% the previous month. This represents the lowest inflation level since November 2024, primarily due to a sharper drop in food and non-alcoholic beverage prices, which fell by 2.0% compared to a 0.8% decline in May. Prices for furnishings and household maintenance also fell slightly by 0.2%, following a 0.3% decrease in the prior month, while prices for recreation and culture remained unchanged compared to a 0.3% rise previously. Inflationary pressures eased slightly in the restaurants and hotels sector, registering a growth of 1.4% versus May's 1.5%. In contrast, some categories experienced an uptick in price growth; transport inflation increased to 2.6% from 2.4%, and miscellaneous goods and services saw an inflation rise to 6.8% from 6.4%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices in June remained stable, the same as in May.
