South Korea's unemployment rate, adjusted for seasonal variations, slightly decreased to 2.6% in June 2025 from 2.7% the previous month. The number of unemployed individuals dropped to 825,000, representing a year-over-year decrease of 32,000, or 3.8%. Concurrently, the number of employed people increased to 29.091 million—an increment of 183,000 or 0.6% compared to the corresponding month last year. The labor force participation rate climbed to 65.4%, a rise of 0.1 percentage points from the previous year, underscoring the labor market's continued robustness despite global economic challenges.
