In June 2025, Sweden experienced a 3.1% year-on-year reduction in producer prices, a further decline compared to the 2.8% drop observed in May. This marked the fourth consecutive month of deflation and represented the most significant decrease since December 2023. The primary factor behind this decline was a more pronounced contraction in energy-related product prices (a decrease of 13.1%, compared to a 2.3% decline previously). Conversely, the declining trend in capital goods prices slowed (falling 2.4% compared to the 3.0% drop in May). However, inflationary pressures on consumer goods gained momentum, rising to 0.4% from 0.1%. When excluding energy-related products, producer prices saw a 2.3% decrease, which was a more moderate drop than the 2.9% fall recorded in May. On a month-to-month basis, the producer price index declined by 0.6%, following a 0.5% reduction the prior month.
