Greece Credit Growth Eases to 4-Month Low

In June 2024, total credit extended to the Greek economy saw a year-on-year growth of 6.8%, marking the slowest increase in four months and a slight decrease from the 6.9% rise observed in May. Credit to the private sector declined to 10.2%, down from 11.3% the prior month. Conversely, credit to the general government rose to 1.2% from 0.2%.
