In June 2025, Indonesia experienced an 18.20% year-on-year increase in foreign tourist arrivals. The government aims to attract between 14 and 16 million international visitors this year, following a 19.05% rise in arrivals to 13.90 million in 2024. This figure represents the highest level since the pandemic, well within the anticipated target range of 9.5 to 14.3 million tourists. This growth can be attributed to improved aviation infrastructure and the development of new tourist destinations.
