Retail sales in Colombia experienced a significant increase of 10.1% in June 2025 compared to the same period the previous year. This follows a 13.2% increase in May, continuing the trend of growth for the 13th consecutive month, though slightly below the market's expected growth rate of 11.7%. Sales grew across all categories, most notably in telecommunications equipment for personal or domestic use, which saw an impressive increase of 57.0% compared to 56.5% previously. Additionally, sales of vehicles primarily for household use rose by 20.9%, down from 29.8%. Home appliances and furniture grew by 24.2%, up from 23.3%, and the category including books, stationery, newspapers, magazines, and school supplies increased by 9.4%, though this was a decline from 13.7% earlier. In terms of seasonally adjusted figures, retail sales went up by 0.3% in June following a 0.8% rise in the preceding month.
