FX.co ★ Colombia Industrial Production Slows in June

In June 2025, Colombia's industrial production experienced a 2.2% year-on-year increase, a deceleration compared to May's 3% rise, and falling short of market predictions of 2.9%. Among the 39 industrial sectors surveyed, 21 showed growth, with notable advances in other chemical products (up 14.1%), other transport equipment (up 43.9%), sugar (up 26.4%), and dairy products (up 12.3%). In contrast, 18 sectors witnessed declines, particularly beverages (down 5.1%), pharmaceutical products (down 6.3%), paper products (down 5.6%), and basic chemical substances (down 7.7%). On a year-on-year basis, real sales increased by 1.0%, while employment saw a moderate rise of 0.4%.
