In July 2025, Finland's unemployment rate rose to 9.3%, up from 7.9% in the same month the previous year. The number of unemployed individuals increased by 40,000 from the prior year, reaching 269,000, while those employed fell by 43,000, totaling 2.637 million. Additionally, the unemployment rate among youths aged 15 to 24 surged to 16.8%, marking a rise of 5.3 percentage points compared to the previous year. The activity rate for individuals aged 15 to 74 slightly decreased to 69.8% from 70.1%, and the employment rate for those aged 20 to 64 declined to 76.5% from 77.4%.
