Inflation in Poland dropped to 2.8% in August 2025, marking the lowest rate since June 2024, a decrease from 3.1% in the previous month, according to preliminary data. This decline was primarily attributed to a significant reduction in fuel prices for personal transport, which fell by 7.7%. However, this was somewhat counterbalanced by increases in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which rose by 4.8%, as well as in electricity, gas, and other fuels, which increased by 2.3%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices fell by 0.1% in August, following a 0.3% rise in July.
