The unemployment rate in Germany, when adjusted for seasonal variations, remained steady at 6.3% in August 2025, consistent with market forecasts. This figure matches the highest rate observed since September 2020. There was, however, a notable decrease in the number of unemployed individuals, which dropped by 9,000 from the Revised figures of the previous month, reaching 2.957 million. This represents the most significant monthly decline in over three years.
