Croatia Industrial Output at 8-Month Low

Croatia's industrial production experienced a decline of 0.9% in July 2025 compared to the same month the previous year. This marks a drop following a 2.1% increase recorded in June, representing the slowest growth in industrial activity since November 2024. The decrease is largely attributable to reduced output in the mining and quarrying sector, which fell to 0.2% from 3%, and manufacturing, which dipped to 1% from 3.3%, with notable reductions in the production of food items, wearing apparel, coke and refined petroleum products, and non-metallic mineral goods. Additionally, the production levels for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning dropped significantly by 11.1% compared to a modest rise of 0.5% previously. However, on a seasonally adjusted month-to-month basis, industrial production rebounded, increasing by 2.6% in July after experiencing a 1.4% decrease in the prior month.
