Mexico Consumer Morale Hits 8-Month High

In August 2025, consumer confidence in Mexico climbed to 46.7, marking its highest level in eight months, according to the latest data. This figure represents an improvement from the upwardly revised measurement of 46 recorded in July, though it still resides within pessimistic territory. The boost in confidence can be attributed to a more optimistic perspective on household financial conditions, which rose to 58.5 from 57.7 in July. Additionally, there was a more favorable view of the national economic outlook, which increased to 48.7 from 47.7, and the current conditions were perceived as slightly better, with a rise to 41.5 from 40.9. The survey also indicated a growing willingness among Mexicans to engage in significant purchases, climbing to 33.3 from 32.2, despite a small decline in household financial assessments, which dipped to 51.7 from 51.8.
