In July 2025, Brazil's industrial production experienced a slight decline, falling by 0.2% compared to June, aligning with market predictions. Previously, the index had shown no change. Out of twenty-five sectors analyzed, thirteen demonstrated reductions. The most significant decrease was observed in metallurgy, which fell by 2.3% and ended a two-month streak of growth. Other sectors experiencing substantial downturns included transportation equipment, which dropped by 5.3%, printing by 11.3%, beverages by 2.2%, machinery repair and installation by 3.7%, electronics by 2.0%, miscellaneous products by 3.5%, and rubber and plastics by 1.0%. Conversely, among the eleven sectors that recorded growth, pharmaceuticals emerged as the top performer with an increase of 7.9%, followed by food products at 1.1%, extractive industries at 0.8%, and chemicals at 1.8%. On a yearly basis, industrial production saw a marginal increase of 0.2%.
