In August 2025, the FAO Food Price Index reached 130.1, marking its highest point since February 2023 and showing negligible change from the slightly adjusted 130 recorded in July. The decrease in cereal and dairy price indices was counterbalanced by rises in the indices for meat, sugar, and vegetable oils.
