In July 2025, Mexico's industrial output saw a 2.7% decline compared to the same month in the previous year. This marks the fourth consecutive year of annual decline and the eleventh contraction within the last year. Significant decreases were observed across various sectors: mining activity plummeted by 5.8%, manufacturing industries experienced a 1.9% reduction, the generation and distribution of power and other utilities decreased by 3.7%, and construction was down by 3.5%. On a seasonally adjusted month-to-month basis, industrial output fell by 1.2%, marking the steepest decline in four months.
