CAC 40 Edges Down on Monday as Investors Remain Cautious

On Monday, the CAC 40 index in Paris saw a slight decline of 0.1%, settling at 7,840, as investors remained cautious ahead of key flash PMI data releases for Europe's largest economies and the United States. Anticipation was also focused on upcoming speeches from officials of the European Central Bank and the Federal Reserve for potential policy insights. On the corporate front, Sanofi experienced a marginal rise of 0.1% following the European Medicines Agency's CHMP recommendation for the approval of Dupixent. This medication is intended for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic spontaneous urticaria in patients aged 12 and above, particularly those unresponsive to H1 antihistamines and without prior anti-IgE therapy. Similarly, Safran saw a 0.1% increase after announcing its intention to repurchase up to €500 million of its shares between September 22 and December 5, under an established buyback program authorized in May.
