Vietnam Tourist Arrivals Climb 19.5% YoY in September

In September 2025, Vietnam experienced a year-over-year increase of 19.5% in international arrivals, reaching a total of 1.52 million visitors. This follows a 16.5% rise observed in the previous month. The number of tourists from Asia grew by 17.4%, with particularly strong increases seen from China (40.2%), Japan (14.7%), Malaysia (41.6%), Cambodia (47.0%), and the Philippines (84.1%). Arrivals from the Americas saw a modest rise of 2.6%, largely attributed to a 7.0% increase from Canada. European tourism to Vietnam surged notably by 57.0%, buoyed by substantial inflows from Russia (240.5%), the UK (20.3%), France (22.2%), and Germany (12.9%). The influx from Australia rose by 6.5%, whereas arrivals from Africa experienced a 4.3% climb. Overall, in the first nine months of the year, Vietnam recorded a 21.5% increase in total international arrivals, bringing the number to 15.44 million.
