Egypt's annual urban inflation rate decreased for the fourth consecutive month, slipping to 11.7% in September 2025, compared to 12.0% in August. This decline followed a spike to a four-month high in May, attributed to increasing fuel costs. The current rate represents the lowest inflation since March 2022. On a month-to-month comparison, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 1.8% in September, picking up speed from a 0.4% increase in August.
