In August 2025, Lithuania's current account surplus expanded significantly to €522.15 million, compared to €364.49 million in the same period the previous year. This represents the largest current account surplus since September 2024, primarily fueled by a rise in the services account surplus, which increased to €918.92 million from €711.83 million year-on-year. Additionally, there was a reduction in the goods account deficit, which decreased to €246.26 million from €297.26 million. Furthermore, secondary income shifted from a minor deficit of €0.19 million to a notable surplus of €140.27 million. Concurrently, however, the primary income deficit increased substantially to €290.78 million from €49.89 million.
