In October 2025, Germany's Ifo Business Climate Index increased to 88.4, up from 87.7 in September, surpassing the predicted forecast of 88. The expectations index rose to its highest level since February 2022, reaching 91.6, compared to 89.7 the previous month, while the index for current conditions dipped slightly to 85.3 from 85.7. Clemens Fuest, President of Ifo, commented, "Companies remain optimistic about economic improvement in the coming year, although they rated the current business situation as marginally worse."
