Mexico saw a decline in its manufacturing business confidence index in October 2025, dropping to 49.1, a decrease of 0.4 points from the prior month. This marks the eighth straight month the index has remained below the critical 50-point threshold. Confidence regarding the timing for investments further eroded, falling by 0.8 points to 36.9, while views on the current national economic situation dipped by 0.6 points to 48.7. Expectations for the future national economic climate also softened, slipping by 0.5 points to 52.1, alongside a slight decrease in optimism about the firm's current economic condition, which eased 0.2 points to 50.6. Notably, projections concerning the future state of the company remained steady at 56.3. On an annual basis, overall business confidence registered a drop of 3.1 points.
