Estonia Inflation Eases to 5-Month Low

In October 2025, Estonia witnessed a deceleration in its annual inflation rate, which fell to 4.6% from 5.2% in the previous month. This reduction represents the lowest rate recorded since May, primarily attributed to a decrease in the pace of price increases for food and non-alcoholic beverages (6.3% down from 7.7% in September), household goods (1.9% down from 2.5%), and communication services (1.2% down from 2.6%). Furthermore, the costs for clothing and footwear continued to decline (-6.9% from -4.5%). Conversely, inflation experienced an uptick in sectors such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco (rising to 6.2% from 5.4%), while the rates for health and education sectors remained unchanged at 10.6% and 1.1%, respectively. On a monthly scale, consumer prices showed stagnation in October, following a 1.1% decrease in the prior period.
