Lithuania Inflation Rate Up to 4.1%

In October 2025, Lithuania experienced a slight increase in its annual inflation rate, reaching 4.1%, the highest level recorded in six months. This marks a small rise from the 4% seen in both September and August. An uptick in prices was notable in several categories: food and non-alcoholic beverages saw an increase to 5.1% from 4.8%, particularly in items such as milk, cheese, eggs, and meat. Housing and utilities experienced a rise to 2.0% from 1.5%, while healthcare costs increased to 4.9% from 4.6%, mainly due to higher prices for pharmaceutical products. The category of alcoholic beverages and tobacco showed a slight rise to 8.4% from 8.3%, driven by more expensive tobacco, beer, and spirits.

Inflation remained steady in the recreation and culture sector at 5.8%, while transport costs saw a slight decrease, easing to 2.6% from 2.9%. Furthermore, a decline was observed in the prices of clothing and footwear, which decreased by 0.6% compared to the previous 0.7% drop, as well as in items including electricity and vehicles. On a monthly basis, consumer prices experienced a modest increase of 0.2%.
