In the third quarter of 2025, construction orders in the UK witnessed a substantial increase, climbing 29.3% compared to the same period the previous year. This marks a significant recovery from a slightly adjusted 11.7% drop in the preceding quarter and represents the fastest growth since the fourth quarter of 2021. The recovery was comprehensive across various sectors. Orders for non-residential projects soared by 32.7%, recovering from a 7.0% decline in the second quarter. New housing orders also saw notable improvement, rising by 17.0% after experiencing a 24.9% decrease. This growth was propelled by substantial gains in public housing orders, which jumped 72.9% following a 9.9% decline, and private housing orders, which increased by 9.2% after a 27.2% drop. On a quarterly basis, construction orders rose by 9.8%, overturning a 6.6% decrease in the second quarter.
