Thailand is set to present its fiscal budget for 2027 to the cabinet on November 25, reports Reuters. For the fiscal year 2026, the Thai government has allocated a budget of 3.78 trillion baht, with an anticipated deficit of approximately 860 billion baht. Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas remarked that the budget deficit for 2027 is expected to be considerably lower than that of 2026. He further highlighted plans to restrict the deficit to no more than 3% of GDP by 2029. In tandem with these efforts, there are initiatives to enhance government revenue while maintaining public debt under 70% of GDP, reflecting a dedication to fiscal responsibility and the pursuit of long-term economic stability.
