Estonia's unemployment rate dropped to 7.1% in the third quarter of 2025, down from 7.4% in the same period the previous year. This represents the lowest unemployment level since the fourth quarter of 2023, as the number of unemployed individuals decreased by 2,100 year-over-year to a total of 54,200. Concurrently, the employment rate rose to 69.7% from 68.9%, with the workforce expanding by 3,000 individuals to reach 705,100. The employment surge was predominantly driven by young and middle-aged workers, with 451,200 people aged 15–24 and 25–49 employed, marking an increase of 3,800 compared to the previous year. Additionally, the labor force participation rate climbed to 75.1% from 74.8%.
