According to a survey conducted by mortgage giant Freddie Mac, the average rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage increased to 6.26% as of November 20, 2025. This marks a rise from the previous low of 6.17% seen three weeks prior, which was the lowest since early October 2024. Sam Khater, Freddie Mac's chief economist, commented, "Mortgage rates have been fluctuating within a narrow ten-basis point range over the last month. This stability in rates is beneficial to both buyers and sellers, as it offers greater certainty in the housing market."
